It’s Flashback Friday and we are looking back at the movie version of “Congo” which was recently released on Blu-ray.

In a Chicago Tribune article from 1987 called “An Author of Pleasurable Fear”  Michael intriguingly talks about directing a movie version of Congo himself:

“I had such a great time directing Sean Connery in `The Great Train Robbery` that I wrote a novel in 1980 envisioning him in the leading role in hopes that I could work with him again. The movie`s finally going to get made this year” with Connery, according to Crichton.”

Chalk this one up to what might have been!

What did you think of the movie version of Congo that was eventually released in 1995?
